One of the qualities that I associate with the second rhythm (Staccato) is clarity.  Whenever we’ve given a broad view and awareness to our inner world, we can take a further step: more clearly naming the aspect which draws us at the moment, more sharply defining what drives us and choosing to take it further. In this way we can begin to follow our life path in a more directed and more strongly motivated way. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can discover on this day.

In this workshop we move / dance with how essential/ basic sadness or the pure energetic of sadness can gently help us to move on and Release what is ready to be let go of and take our time to get ready to take steps in the space which is opened up and to see with new eyes the gifts which remain. The release of sadness can have a delicateness and exquisiteness and also a tender warmth, and a humble trusting of how this is ready to happen in this moment. Once we’ve experienced some of the letting go of the pure sadness energetic and felt the message that this is allowed, this is possible, then we can quite often find trust unfolding in us overall about the letting go, the trust that is in the intelligence of all the cells of our body, soaking through. Giving time and space to this, whilst again and a again dancing through the 5Rhythms®, can lead to more trust and more soft openness. We start to see what we’re holding onto and what we’re letting go of and this has a feeling of a kind of real, steady rightness. I’m really ready to hold us during this journey, for us to take the steps, just to the degree and timing for each one of us, and look forward to welcoming you.

One of the qualities that I associate with the third rhythm (Chaos) is adventure. When we have given attention to our inner world and have found out more clearly what particularly draws us in this, then we can begin the adventure of more deeply exploring everything that is happening with it, what might be under or behind what we already know. In that adventure, we let go of the well-worn paths and we surrender to what we don’t yet know and follow our intuition. In this way, we can tackle the vicissitudes of life. I trust in our skills in following our inner compass on this day.

In this workshop we move / dance with how essential/ basic grounded joy or the pure energetic of grounded joy can help us to experience and revel in the Relief that can come when we have allowed our emotions space and time to move in their own way and their own tempo, no more and no less; to really say yes and welcome the joy when it comes in small moments and in maybe longer warm blissful amounts of time, through our whole body. Sometimes there is an undercurrent of joy carrying on where everything is keeping in movement, flexibly and meeting the moment as it is, the reality, right now. The relief throughout all of the body when there is less squeezing closed or knottedness of emotions which have been disallowed, not accepted. The, perhaps unexpected, delight in celebrating in a beautifully embodied way and have gratitude. We will move through our practice of the 5 Rhythms time and again, to dance through this and, as much as possible, we allow everything that is happening in us. Yes, even revelling in the joy, having the satisfaction, without doubting it or questioning it. By the end of the day that sense of being softly grounded with the relief and even bliss can even feel like something as a matter of course, self-evident, yes, maybe this can be a “normal” part of our lives, feeling it in our bodies, right down to our toes. I look forward to following the movement of this journey with you.

One of the qualities that I associate with the fourth rhythm (Lyrical) is freedom. The freedom to creatively use in our lives what we meet and find on our life’s path, in order to devote our qualities / gifts to the groups which we are a part of. The freedom to fully exist in what is possible for us, in our surroundings and with the people around us. To live from our inner realities in a grounded way in the world around us, in a way which is inspiring in a straightforward, simple way. I’m already excited to be able to enjoy the fruits of this day.

In this workshop we move / dance with how essential compassion or the pure energetic of compassion  can help us to embrace all the different colours and shades of our feelings and emotions.  That energy of compassion, when it’s moving, can allow this to unfold without effort, even with a sense of “goodness”. We will move through the 5Rhythms® time and again, dancing with this. Compassion is underneath and embracing all of our range of emotions, just as dynamic stillness holds and carries all of the other rhythms, is the source of them.  Compassion - it is all as it is, it doesn’t have to be any different. There are so many facets and colours of compassion, which includes all of the emotions in all their tones and energies, woven together, sometimes delicately and sometimes more densely or robustly. Underneath, we are alright, whatever feelings we're feeling or holding back; we're OK, we're human beings, just like everyone else. Beloved, beloved unconditionally, whatever our flaws or qualities. By the end of the day, the sense of having these experiences woven into our beings, can nourish us and be something to fall back on, as we go back into our everyday lives. I feel a lot of gratitude to take this journey with you and how it distinctively unfolds for each person.

One of the qualities that I associate with the fifth rhythm (Stillness) is connection.  Connection with our body, our heart, our mind, our soul and, through all that, a connection with something bigger than ourselves (spirit). Living from a deep connection with aspects from the essence of us gives more meaning to our existence. If we can bathe in this spring, the source, then we can be more inspired and whole. I already feel myself going into stillness at the prospect of being able to spend time with our deeper “anchoring” on this day.
